British Cycling have issued advice to cycling clubs that no organised activity (including rides, training, coaching, events) should take place during the Corona virus crisis period in line with government advice on social gatherings and non-essential travel. To that end the committee have taken the decision to suspend Tickhill Velo club rides for the next few weeks.

We have also suspended upcoming Tickhill Velo “Go-Ride” training sessions delivered in local schools and the Thursday evening Doncaster track sessions.

The general advice is that you can still go out on your bike but it is recommend that you follow the latest recommendations with regards to hygiene and social distancing for example avoiding cafes, maintaining minimum separation distances, washing or sanitising your hands, avoiding touching your face, washing your cycling gloves regularly etc.

The situation is changing daily so we will try to keep you up to date with the latest advice from cycling related organisations.
