Tickhill Velo British Cycling ‘Go-Ride’ Scheme

Our  Tickhill Velo Club (TVC) Go-ride cycle coaching sessions are designed to develop the bike handling skills and confidence of the children attending each series.

The tuition is provided by TVC members who are British Cycling qualified coaches, with assistance from volunteers.

Tickhill Velo British Cycling ‘Go-Ride’ Scheme

Go-Ride Sessions

Sessions are provided at both Tickhill Primary Schools in the form of after-school clubs, organized in Spring, Summer and Autumn blocks. Details are issued each half-term by the schools. Children are taught to ride safely, individually and in groups, to a programme designed to enhance riding skills and knowledge, whilst having fun in the process. All levels of ability are catered for, from complete beginner to confident rider.

Family Rides

In addition to these events TVC plan to provide occasional family rides in the Tickhill area, plus operate weekly family group sessions at the Closed Road Circuit at the Dome in Doncaster .

Safety First

All children attending TVC coaching sessions are required to have a Consent Form completed by a parent or guardian.

Also, all attendees, child or adult, must have a safe helmet, suitable clothing, and a bike in good working condition. ‘Bike, Helmet and Clothing’ checks are an important element of riding safety.

TVC make a modest charge of £2 per session to fund the provision of qualified coaches and the resources needed to deliver our annual Go-ride programme.

Please get in touch if you have any question about our Go-Ride coaching sessions.
