FLAT N FAST 100

For those of you that are new to Sportives, they are strictly non-competitive in their style and allow riders of all abilities to ride a safely way marked route, have support on hand and include places to stop, have a rest, a drink and something to eat.

The ‘Flat n Fast 100’ is the perfect beginning to our 100 series. The course lends itself to both new riders trying to achieve a personal best in distance and the more experienced riders can achieve a personal best 100 mile time. Could be considered a great time trial course? We do allow Time Trial bikes, aero bars etc, in fact we do allow all bikes types as agreed by our insurer.

The other thing we like to do is feed you well. At registration we give you a large flapjack from ‘Dorset Flapjacks’ (480 cal approx!) and a pack of Haribo. Once you get to the first feed station, there’s a packed lunch, a selection of teas or coffee and plenty of SIS electrolyte. If you’re on the 100 mile route the second feed station has teas and coffee, cake, fruit more Haribo and SIS, so you should be able to stay the distance!

The start HQ has plenty of car parking space, changing and shower facilities and will feature some good local cycling stands for you to browse over as well as refreshments by the Coffee Stop.

Whichever route you choose, the choice doesn’t need to be made until the split point of the ride. We use a timing system with checkpoints so that if you started with intention of doing the 100km and you’re feeling strong, you can still decide to do the 100 miler if you wish and vice versa, we like a relaxed atmosphere for this. As all of our events do, this event shares the first part of the course for all routes but Flat n Fast finishes on the same last section too, so we will have a great atmosphere.

New for 2018 is the ‘short’ route of 25 Miles, this route doesn’t have a feed stop on the road but the price includes hot food and a cuppa on return.

There will be free photos to download from Adie’s Photography, a top local cycling photographer.

We hope that after you’ve tried the Flat n Fast 100 you’ll be hooked on our value for money sportives where a great day out on the bike is all that matters.

ROSS TIGER 100

The Ross Tiger offers riders a choice of two great routes. After a testing climb out of Waltham and into the edge of the Wolds, this shared start then skirts along the top of the Wolds with some fantastic views before arriving at the split point at Alford. The 100km has a relaxing route back to the HQ taking in views of the coast, whereas the 100 mile route darts two more times across the Wolds with some fantastic climbs and scenery.

We like to feed you well.

The start HQ has plenty of car parking space, changing and shower facilities and will feature some great local cycling stands for you to browse over as well as refreshments from the in house cafe, on returning to HQ after the ride, the bar will be open if you fancy a pint!

A greater taster of the Lincolnshire Wolds, if you’ve never cycled in this part of Lincolnshire, these routes will certainly show you that Lincolnshire definitely isn’t flat and has some great scenery and fantastic views.

The Ross Tiger 100 is produced by Sportive HQ in partnership with the Lindsey Roads Club.

TRENT VALLEY 100

The Trent Valley 100 offers two fantastic routes to end the season. The 100 miler circumnavigates Lincoln and takes riders into the Lincolnshire Wolds for some hill climbs before returning to HQ. The 100km route shares the first 35 miles as the 100 mile route and then takes in the sites of Lincoln itself bringing riders through to the finish back at Gainsborough.

A great last get together of the season with this the toughest of the 100 Series and just prove to yourself how you have improved over the season!
