No Adrian this week, he’s on some beach somewhere in his budgie smugglers but there were still 9 of us for this week’s midweek evening ride. Out of Tickhill up Wilsic Lane we completed Ady’s pointless loop in Wadworth before heading up through Edlington and onto Clifton. Jon missed the Clifton turn off which isn’t like him, but he didn’t get too far before he was shouted back.
Clifton hill was as tough as ever, but the top came, and we paused for a selfie. I think I need to work on my selfie technique, at least I didn't cut the top of my head off! From Clifton we headed to Micklebring, and through Bramley to Carr. A little climb out of Carr got heart rates going then it was largely down hill to Roche Abbey and a sprint hill climb to the Oldcotes Road. The route here called for a left turn to Maltby but after a quick vote we turned right for a shorter sprint back to Tickhill and a post ride pint!
28 miles, 1,500 ft elevation and a bag of Strava medals, a good ride for everyone.
