Twas a breezy early evening scene that awaited our first midweek date.
That did not deter the eager crew of the Velo riders eight.

6:30 prompt we departed
off we go, down the road,
the adventure had just started.
Steady away and not to fast was always the intention,
The wind did blow, it tried to throw, a spanner in the spokes,
we stayed firm, time to chat, close quarter our retention.
Many turns left a few more right
in formation held in tight.
Until all of a sudden, 23 miles sweet
we where back in Tickhill, in time for Coronation Street.
Nice one mate! I'm sure I heard just before we said goodbye,
See you next week? maybe they said, we will almost certainly try.
