Wednesday morning easy ride to Wentworth.

Special emphasis on easy there - no one rolled up. Just me! And it was a great day for a ride - where were you? It said 9am on the Facebook page so you might have turned up at 9.30 or perhaps even 10.

The guy with the blower clearing leaves in the car park stopped for a chat couldn’t tell he had been at it for half an hour by the time we finished - there seemed leaves everywhere around his 2 big leaf piles.

My route went through Braithwell, Micklebring and Ravenfield before dropping down to Hooton Roberts along to kilnhurst and then with a lot of weaving and climbing into Wentworth.

Fortunately there are other cafés because my café of choice was shut! But being undeterred I set off home - Jean makes coffee!

Off I went to Rawmarsh, Eastwood and back to through Ravenfield and into Braithwell. Then onto Stainton and back to Tickhill via Tickhill Back Lane.

Most of the ride was either with a following wind or a side wind with not a lot of riding into it - fortunately. My only scary bit was as I crossed on the bridge over the motorway where the side wind seemed at its highest but I stayed upright.

Back in Tickhill, not wet and warm enough it had been a good morning out. Oh and i did 2300 feet of climbing.
