A fantastic turnout of 47 bikes, 3 trikes, and a tandem trike all came together on a sunny afternoon for a 10-mile leg tester, followed by post-event coffee and cake—making for a brilliant day all round.
As always, the "magic roundabout" was safely and professionally marshalled by Christina, Diana, Gary, and Jon, while Carew expertly managed the start line. Michelle and Jan kept sign-in/sign-out running smoothly while ensuring everyone had a warm cuppa and a bun. A special shout-out to Jenny, who jumped straight onto the refreshments team right after taking care of the minor distraction of riding the event—and winning her category!
We received overwhelming positive feedback from competitors who highlighted the friendliness and enthusiasm of our marshals, as well as the seamless execution of the event. We welcomed entrants from all over the country, including Thirsk, Wilmslow, Bridlington, and even Droitwich in Worcestershire—over 125 miles away!

Many riders stayed after the event to chat over coffee and cake while prizes were presented. Extra medals might be in order next year for our brilliant volunteer bakers, whose delicious cakes and buns helped raise £46.59 in donations for club funds!
Finally, a special note of thanks: the Trike Association passed on their sincere gratitude for hosting their riders, and representatives from the CTT expressed their thanks to Tickhill Velo for continuing to organize open events at a time when fewer clubs are able to do so.
