Busy July So Far!
We are only halfway through July, and it has already been an absolute whirlwind of a month. Here are some of the fantastic highlights from the last couple of weeks:
🎪 Tickhill Gala
Once again, we pitched our double stall at the annual Tickhill Gala, organized by the Scouts & Guides. This year, we tried something new with our "Booze or Loose" (for the adults) and "Pop or Not" (for the kids) games.
A massive thank you to everyone who donated bottles and to the fantastic members who volunteered to man the stall on the day. You did a brilliant job raising valuable funds for the club and flying the club colors in our local community!
🚴♀️ Ladies Ride
Jenny and Diane did a wonderful job planning and leading our latest Ladies-Only ride out to the Tipsy Tea Rooms in Sprotbrough. Blessed with beautiful sunny weather, nine riders took part—including a few welcome visitors who wanted to experience our relaxed, social club vibe. A great time was had by all, and we are already looking forward to the next one!
⛰️ Kettlewell Weekend
Robin organized another fantastic two-day trip to the Yorkshire Dales for five of our riders, featuring an overnight stay in Kettlewell. Unlike last year’s torrential downpours, this weekend served up perfect, sunny conditions. The group explored the stunning lanes and scenery around Masham, Kettlewell, and Burnsall.
To top it all off, the weekend concluded with a lovely pub meal and watching England beat Norway!
Of course, all of this is on top of our usual packed schedule of Sunday and mid-week rides. Let’s keep making the most of the summer weather and those long, glorious days in the saddle!
