Scarborough charity bike ride was a great success

  • Posted: 15 September 2021

On 11 September 2021, 20 riders set out on an annual two-day charity ride covering 209 miles, riding out from Doncaster to Scarborough and returning the next day.

The ride was organised to raise funds for Ben Middleton, a 24-year-old Doncaster cyclist who suffered life changing injuries in a cycling accident in May 2020. Amounts raised will help to support Ben’s family in adapting their home to provide the care that Ben requires and fund the specialist neuro-rehabilitation that he needs on a day-to-day basis.

All riders who took part in the charity had a great time and it was made all the more enjoyable with the assistance of the two support cars. A great team effort all round.

We are still in the process of collating all the donations from the ride and we will confirm the total amount raised soon.

Well done and thanks to everyone for the ride, fun, fantastic organisation and support.
